OBJECTIVES OF APEP
The non-profit objectives of the association shall be to interact with the European Institutions, Member States and other international organizations, especially to:
- Promote the use of products based on or containing potash with the exception of matters of a commercial nature
- Represent the interests of the potash producers in the European Union
- Defend the legitimate interests of the Union potash producers against unfair trade practices and anticompetitive behavior of third country potash producers and processors
- Observe the relevant legislation in the European Union (Safety, Health, Environment, Fertilizer Regulation etc.) and act as experienced and competent consultant.
ACTIVITIES OF APEP
APEP may in particular undertake the following (non-exhaustively listed) activities:
- Represent the interests of its members in their relations with any national or international authority and in particular with the European Union’s institutions
- Take care of advisory, consultancy, technical support services of Union potash producers by experts
- Study any question or problem relating to the potash industry, in particular the scientific, technical, environmental at the request of authorities
- Organize the exchange of views, conferences, lectures, seminars, information sessions in all their forms for the public and for interested parties
